Brasil
is definetly one of the main beef producing countries.
The
vast plains and tropical weather garantie high quality fields
and consequently the best possible food for the Bovines.
The
steers live exclusively in these fields and are never given
any extra food.
Quality
requirements make brasil mainly only produce Steers, the average
age of the steer will be 24 months. Export requirements for
chilled (fresh) meat oblige to also select the conformation
of the carcass, and the fat grade, once age, conformation
and fat requirements are fulfilled, the meat is labelled HQB
(High Quality Beef) and can be shipped to Europe under the
HILTON licence.
The
higiene standards in Brasilian beef producing plants are extremely
high, defenetly much higher than need and probably much higher
than many Europeen plants.
